MICHAEL PLATER (Experimental Folk, Gothic Folk, Noir)

Michael Plater is an Australian experimental/indie/folk/noir musician, who has played all over the world and put out a series of releases on such U.K. labels as Cruel Nature Records, Reverb Worship, and Hypostatic Union. His 2023 album, “Ghost Music”, was highly acclaimed, and was voted as the 4th best album of the year in U.K. music publication Sun 13. After living in the U.K for many years, Plater is now based in Brisbane.

MATT MALONE & THE HOLY SPIRITS (Heavy Blues, Outlaw Country, Post-Punk)

Matt Malone is an iconoclastic singer-songwriter from the goldfields of Victoria. Malone is known for his bold baritone / tenebrous lyricism often compared to Jim Morrison, Glenn Danzig, Nick Cave + Johnny Cash, carving out a cult following through his intense live performances. On stage, Malone has shared the spotlight with revered figures like Kim Salmon (Beasts of Bourbon) + Hugo Race (Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds), performing on stages both nationally / abroad.

In 2023, he released the critically acclaimed For The Term Of My Natural Life (VRS Records) + followed it up with Made In The Image featuring a version of the blues classic I’m Bad Like Jesse James shared by the John Lee Hooker estate. Matt Malone & The Holy Spirits have completed recording with Loki Lockwood (Spooky Records, The Drones, Spencer P. Jones) and released the single Wolfman on Halloween ‘25 followed by Jealousy on Valentine’s Day ‘26!

Coming off the St. Kilda Blues Fest ‘26, he’ll be performing exclusive Sydney acoustic duo shows w/ Nick Potts (The Moffs) on blues harmonica. Nick is perhaps most well known as a member of the psychedelic ensemble The Moffs and performed on the iconic underground classic - ‘Another Day Under The Sun’ (Citadel, 1985. Matt Malone & The Holy Spirits (Acoustic Duo) channel a unique blend of delta blues, outlaw country and post-punk - delivering live performances as much firebrand ritual as rock n’ roll show.
