Event description

Have you dreamed of trying your hand at mixing together herbs, flowers and spices to make your own herbal tea blends? Then this workshop is for you!

We will use a variety of home grown, foraged, zero waste and store cupboard staples to make our own blends of delicious and useful tea blends. We will begin by discussing the intent of the teas you want to make: if it is about flavour of function (flu fighting or sleep inducing, for example), and smelling and tasting the range of ingredients we have on offer.

There will be samples of some pre-prepared blends to get you in the spirit of things, and some books to help you research the medicinal properties of different herbs that we have available, or may serve a function you desire.

With the help of our workshop facilitator you will be able to blend the ingredients we have on offer to make a balanced, functional and enjoyable loose leaf tea blend to take home with you. You can even make some labels for your blends to make sure you know what's inside, and if you want to turn it into a gift for someone special.
