Avalon Beach (October 21) – A group of environmentally-focused entrepreneurs are launching their vision for a new era of sustainability on the Northern Beaches through a first-ever community event which aims to highlight sustainability solutions through celebration.

Called Avalon Blended, the event brings together inspired individuals driven by solutions to the greatest issues facing human kind – climate change, biodiversity loss, and single use plastics.

With awareness of the challenges of Climate Change at record highs, Avalon Blended seeks to showcase some of our local creatives who have created practical solutions to help us as we aspire to be the most sustainably focused beach community in Australia. 

Avalon Blended is a celebration of a clean environment. All are welcome and are invited to take part in the events and discussions. There will be musical performances by Rami, a sustainable fashion show by Jamoo, sounds by DJ Carlos Aviles and live mural art by Louis Wayling. Hang Ten Distillery will offer tastings of its specialty gin created from the left-over products from local bakeries. And popular local restaurant Bar Elvina will fire up an all-day BBQ with tasty food from the region’s producers. There will be talks and interactive discussions from entrepreneurs, filmmakers, sustainable business entrepreneurs and creatives. Artisans will be displaying their products to touch, taste, feel and wear.

When: Saturday 22nd October 2023 from 11am – 5pm.

Where: Bar Elvina – 50 Old Barrenjoey Road, Avalon Beach

How: Tickets for this event are $35 for adults and $25 for students and are a contribution to cover the cost of holding the event. These can be purchased through Humanitix. Entry includes a drink from Avalon Brewery or Tombucha.
