WHAT THE COURSE COVERS

The Creating a Mentally Healthy Workplaces Course will teach you how to provide initial support to co-workers who may be experiencing a mental health problem or mental health crisis until appropriate professional help is received or the crisis resolves, using a practical,
evidence based Action Plan. Mental health problems covered:

- Depression

- Anxiety

- Psychosis

- Substance Use problems

Mental health crisis covered include:

- Suicidal thoughts and behaviours

- Panic attacks

- Traumatic events

- Severe psychotic states

- Severe effects from alcohol or other drug use

- Aggressive behaviours

COURSE COMPONENTS

Component 1:

3-5hrs self-paced eLearning component

Component 2:

2 x 2.5hr zoom sessions led by an accredited Mental Health First Aid Instructor
