Blockchain Workshop with James Zaki
Event description
Join engineer and Web3 expert, James Zaki at YBF Sydney for an analysis of Web3 examples from NFTs to token bonding curves.
Remember how the internet radically improved things for individuals and businesses? Web3 and blockchain technology are at the cusp of the same life-altering transformation. Like the internet protocols of the 90s, blockchain protocols have laid the foundation for new applications to be built, with standards already in development and in use like Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) – a swift nod to digital artist, Beeple's $69 million sale.
Building useful applications in this space opens up new business models and requires unconventional thinking.
We'll go over the following:
- a crash-course in blockchain foundations (always a good refresher)
- an overview of Web3 technologies (store/transfer of value, decentralised computation and storage, user interaction...)
- a review of existing Web3 applications, and businesses that use them (gaming, crowd-funded equity, social tokens...)
- an open discussion/brainstorming of new ideas
