Forget black tie! We're swapping suits and sequins for flannel shirts, hard hats and work boots as we Raise the Roof for Cancer.

Join us for a high-energy fundraising event, generously sponsored by Mid Coast Glass Fencing, where builders battle, drinks flow and the community comes together for one unforgettable night in support of a cause that touches so many lives.

Hosted by Hastings Dance for Cancer "Star" Abby Koch and MC'd by Triple M Mid North Coast's very own George "Sargey Cam" Sargent, Blockheads takes over Port Macquarie Race Club on Saturday 8th August from 5pm until late.

Your ticket includes substantial roaming canapés by Char Bar Catering, so arrive hungry and get ready for a night packed with entertainment and friendly competition.

At the centre of the action is the ultimate Cubby House Build-Off, where renowned local builders go head-to-head to create something incredible. Cheer on your favourite team, watch the action unfold live and bid on the finished creations as they're auctioned off for Cancer Council.

And that's just the beginning! Expect custom cocktails, a pumping dance floor with DJ Brooxx on the decks, a photo booth, live auctions, games, activities, prizes and plenty of opportunities to win throughout the night.

Whether you're bidding at the auction, testing your luck or simply enjoying a great night out with friends, there'll be something happening around every corner.

Most importantly, all proceeds will go directly to Cancer Council, supporting their vital work in cancer prevention, support services and life-saving research that helps improve outcomes for Australians affected by cancer.

Abby Koch is a Licensed Real Estate Agent at Laing+Simmons Port Macquarie, working alongside her parents in the family business she's been part of since she was five years old. A lifelong Port Macquarie local, Abby is a people person at heart, passionate about helping others through life's biggest moments, whether that's finding the perfect home or cheering on her netball players as a volunteer coach with Port Combined Netball Club. She also serves as Membership Coordinator for the Hastings Business Women's Network and is known around town for her sweet tooth, love of baking, and being a proud mum to her backyard chickens.

Cancer has touched Abby's family in multiple ways, most significantly through her dad's prostate cancer diagnosis around five years ago and her mum and other family members facing skin cancers and melanomas over the years. She's grateful her loved ones are still here today, and knows that early detection, research, and awareness made all the difference. Through her work in real estate and everyday life, she sees how often cancer impacts those around her, including many of her own clients. Abby has grown up dancing and giving back to the Port Macquarie community, and if she can use her platform to raise funds, build awareness, and help kick cancer in the butt, she could only ever say yes.
