Bloom: Contemporary Art Exhibition at ArtUp
Description
Step inside Bloom, ArtUp’s inaugural contemporary art exhibition celebrating growth, transformation and the natural world.
Bloom brings together 15 emerging and established Australian artists working across sculpture, painting, textiles, ceramics, crochet, digital art, light, scent, performance and participatory practice.
More than a traditional floral exhibition, Bloom considers plants, roots, flowering and decay as ways of thinking about personal growth, ageing, identity, renewal and our relationships with one another and the natural environment.
Across the exhibition, visitors will encounter sculptures grown from organic roots, Morse code crochet, woven furniture inspired by spiderwebs, transformative textiles, botanical ceramics, light-responsive artworks and creative approaches to nature in many forms.
Created by artists Jade Armstrong and Kerrin Samuel, ArtUp introduces emerging creative voices to new audiences while building meaningful connections between artists, collectors, buyers and the wider community.
Entry to Bloom is free. Walk-ins are warmly welcomed during gallery opening hours.
