You’re warmly invited to a small opening night for Blooming Suburbs Series 1: Victoria Park.
This exhibition marks the first chapter of an ongoing body of work, capturing local suburbs through the use of pressed flowers and community collaboration.
Each artwork reflects a moment, a street, or a feeling tied to Victoria Park, preserved slowly and intentionally. The exhibition features 12 original artworks capturing individuals, artists, and small businesses that shape the everyday character of Victoria Park.
Join us for an evening to view the works in person, meet the artist, and spend time in the space. For the first time, the original artworks from this series will also be available for purchase.

About the artist
Joanna Hiu is a Perth-based botanical artist working primarily with pressed flowers. Her work focuses on place, memory, and slow observation, preserving small moments into lasting artworks through a careful, hands-on process.
