Skye has a long history with Blue Dragon and brings a unique perspective to the organisation’s critical work in Vietnam. Originally from Cairns, she started as a volunteer in 2003, and returned many times over the next 12 years, either as a self-funded volunteer or via Australian government programs. In 2016, Skye joined the team as a social worker on a full-time basis, with a special focus on staff and program development. In January 2020, Skye was appointed as co-CEO of Blue Dragon. Her expertise has been crucial in guiding the organisation through the additional challenges the pandemic has created for Vietnamese children and families in crisis, and the urgent response from Blue Dragon this required.
Despite the seriousness of Blue Dragon's work, Skye believes in finding joy and positivity - even in the darkest of times. Come and be inspired by her personal journey.
During this fun and casual evening you will be able to hear her story first hand as well as gain a deeper understanding of Blue Dragon's work.
