Embodied Day Retreat
Join Lillian & Arkadius for a nourishing journey of movement, and nature connection in the Blue Mountains. You can join in for part or all of the day.
Morning Session - 10am-1pm

At Megalong Valley
We explore the question - how can we sense, move, and be with the body in a more direct relationship with the earth and each other?
This will be a blending practices from qigong, primal movement, contact improvisation, and ecosomatics, with both solo and partnered, hands-on exercises. Barefoot welcome.
Details: Meet at Megalong Valley Tea Rooms at 9:50am. From there we will carpool to a nearby clearing in nature. Pack a waterbottle, swimmers and towel, for an optional swim at the waterhole.
Lunch - 1pm-3pm

Evening Session - 4pm-6:30pm
Live Music & Contact Improv Jam
At Happy Buddha Retreats, Wentworth Falls
(Limited to 20 spots)
A co-created space of listening bodies, spontaneous play, and musical flow.
We will begin with a half-hour lead in to a contact improvisation jam. When the jam begins, anyone can flow in between dancing and making music. Bring instruments, or you can play some of the instruments we will have there.

~ About Your Hosts ~
Lillian Donnell is a dynamic mover and movement coach, with a background in aerial silks, Latin partner dancing, functional mobility training, Animal Flow, and Contact Improvisation. She facilitates workshops and co-creates community events in the realms of ecstatic dance, aerials, fire dancing, and live music + dance jams.
With over 14 years of teaching in the movement space, Lillian brings a calm and supportive energy to her classes. Her approach blends physical skill-building with embodied and sensitive awareness. You can find more of her upcoming events and offerings here.
Arkadius Kasperczyk is a passionate movement and bodywork practitioner, trained in the fields of Thai Yoga Massage and Zenthai Shiatsu. His love of movement, nature connection, and somatic awareness led him on the path to a deep practice of Yoga, QiGong, and Contact Improvisation.
In recent years he began to hold space in these practices for others, and facilitating Contact Improvisation, Silent Meditation Retreats, Bushwalking Retreats, and Sound Baths in the Blue Mountains.
Arkadius is also a renowned photographer, whose work has been exhibited in cities in Europe and around the world. He has a special interest in capturing nature and moments in motion - you can see some of his work here.
