BLUES LOUNGE with the Rupert Guenther Blues Band
Event description
THE CHIEFTAIN presents...
"BLUES LOUNGE" with the Rupert Guenther Blues Band
SATURDAY 26 APRIL 7pm-9pm - Door Open from 6pm
Rupert Guenther is a lifelong blues player and session musician. He studied violin and played in operas and orchestras in Vienna, Austria. He has played sideman to the stars with the likes of Beatles producer Sir George Martin, Olivia Newton John, and Demis Roussos. His solo career has taken him to the stages of the great concert houses around the world. Luckily for us, Guenther now enjoys playing to small club audiences around Australia along with Hans Deberitz - who is one of Australia's sought after bass players having toured with many great Australian and international artists and Pete Charlesworth - who in the 70s played drums in the London jazz scene and brings a wealth of musical experience to the stage wherever he plays.
Tonight, BLUES LOUNGE with the Rupert Guenther Blues Band stirs us with soulful electric blues and grooves with tunes from the likes of Muddy Waters, Bobby Bland, BB King, Booker T Jones, John Lee Hooker and more. Featuring the talented Rupert Guenther's distinctive bluesbreaker electric violin tone.
Join us to soak up the authentic blues club vibe at The Chieftain Music Club celebrating iconic music that heavily influenced Jazz, Soul and Rock.
