Blues on the Point Festival
Event description
STOP PRESS: 9pm Thursday 30 January 25 - Due to the forecast of rain on Saturday 1 February and the danger it poses to musos, sound and lighting guys we have made the difficult decision to postpone the festival to Sunday 2 February. We look forward to seeing you there.
The Blues on the Point Festival is back!! Following the huge success of the inaugural festival last March, Tasman Bay Blues Club is again bringing some of New Zealand's best blues musicians together for this one-day event at their waterfront home of The Honest Lawyer Gardens, Monaco.
Headlined by Auckland's hottest Rhythm & Blues band - The Flaming Mudcats, the festival packs in eight hours of music. Also featuring Christchurch's 16 year-old rising Blues guitar sensation Lachlan Platt who is making his first appearance in Nelson. The best of Tasman Bay Blues performers complete the line-up with Le Gumbo Combo & Trudi Wilson, Rich & The Poor Boys, Rinholio, The Rubber Biscuit Band and The West Coast Blues Band.
Food and cold drinks available all day from The Honest Lawyer and food carts. Kids can play on the grass behind the pub. Limited parking so carpooling with a friend is highly recommended.
We look forward to seeing you there!
