Immerse yourself in the creative world of Blushing with this dynamic workshop, offering an exclusive opportunity to explore movement and devising techniques drawn directly from the production while engaging with Zen Zen Zo’s renowned training methodologies.

Participants will:
Step into Character: Create your own Blushing character, exploring themes of intimacy, connection, and physical storytelling.
Move in Costume: Experience performing in the real costumes from the show, unlocking the unique physical language they inspire.
Recreate Scenes: Learn and embody key moments from Blushing, gaining firsthand insight into the creative process behind this bold, high-energy production.
-Train with Zen Zen Zo Techniques: Engage with the company’s core methodologies: The Suzuki Method, The Viewpoints and Butoh.

Designed for performers, movers, and creators of all experience levels, this workshop invites you to engage with Blushing’s themes of touch and human connection while discovering the innovative training methods that define Zen Zen Zo’s approach.

WHAT TO BRING:

clothes you can move in (if you would like to, we encourage a white/beige tank top, singlet or sports bra for better immersion into the Blushing world)
a water bottle
a towel if you sweat a lot
a light snack (if necessary)

This workshop is being offered as part of Zen Zen Zo's residency at the Old Ambulance Station and all profits will go toward staging their next original production Blushing by Artistic Director Indiah Morris.
