Bob Marley Tribute | Performed by Roaring Lions | Live at Lou Lou

Roaring Lion is Australia’s tribute band dedicated to performing the powerful and enduring music of reggae legend Bob Marley. Based in Queensland, Roaring Lion performs regularly up and down the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and in Brisbane, playing for ticketed events, corporate functions, private parties and festivals.

In February, the band opened the Queensland premiere for the ‘Bob Marley: One Love’ movie from Paramount Pictures. In recent years, Roaring Lion has played the historic Majestic Theatre in the Noosa hinterland, Doo Bop Bar in Brisbane City, cruise parties, outdoor events such as Waitangi Day, Broadwater Parklands, Musgrave Park, and an outdoor community show in the Scenic Rim. Shows scheduled for 2024 include venues in north Queensland and interstate.

The music is classic reggae with drum ‘n’ bass, bubble, skank, lead and rhythm guitars. Backing vocalists sing harmonies on every song, while clavinet, horns, strings, Moog and melodica add accents. The band consistently presents a tight show of between 2 to 3 hours of the most popular songs — including everything from the ‘Legend’ album — as well as many beautiful lesser-known gems. Roaring Lion delivers shows with happy, dancing, peaceful audiences, and leaves venues in a clean condition.
