Announcing Body, Brain and Bank

A one day event to create more resilience in every area of your life.

We don't shy away from the big topics that will help you not only survive but thrive in every area of your life.

You will learn how to create a more resilient body, how to cultivate a more resilient mind and how to future proof your finances.

From the creator of Australia's best wellness events, Dr Brett has been well known for his exceptional events over the last decade both in Adelaide and interstate, including The Wellness Summit, The Wellness Basecamp and The Wellness Breakthrough.

In a time of so much uncertainty you need clarity.

Sometimes with so much going on we can get too focused on just surviving now and lose sight of the big picture. Let our team of experts help you not only survive now, but thrive later in every area of your life.

The last year has been challenging

Many people in Australia have been experiencing challenges in their health, their mindset and their wealth as a result of all of the lockdowns and upheavals over the last 12 months.

The best time to analyse your o[opportunities and threats is now whilst 2020 is still fresh in your mind.

The challenges of the last 12 months have really been an opportunity to see where our weak points are, where we can improve and also where the opportunities are as we move into a new world with a fresh set of eyes.

Not only have I been running wellness events for over a decade and mentoring people on their health, their mindset and their wealth I have also had the opportunity to connect with some of the best in the business in each field who I will bring to you on this special day.

A one day LIVE event in Adelaide hosted by myself (Dr Brett Hill), I will be joined by 3 guest speakers who are experts in the fields of health, mindset and wealth in a jam packed day of both presentations and workshops.

SPEAKERS

Brett Hill

A Chiropractor by trade I have always been fascinated by the human body and mind and what makes it tick. In particular whilst medicine was focusing on those who get sick and what makes them so, I have always been fascinated by the ones who stay healthy, the ones who perform well, the ones who are more resilient. What makes these people so different?

In an effort to answer these questions I have read hundreds of books, I have taken numerous courses, attended hundreds of seminars and webinars over the course of my 15+ year career. On top of my Masters of Chiropractic, I have studied a Bachelor of Health Sciences, attained 2 certificates in functional nutrition and I am now studying counselling to round it all out.

I have applied this practically with tens of thousands of people, be they in my chiropractic practice, attending my wellness events, involved in my mentoring programs or getting coaching from me one on one.

Perhaps my greatest learning though was going through my own personal challenges with my divorce, shared parenting challenges and professional challenges I discussed in my latest book Rock Bottom. This challenging time allowed me to add some real world perspective to my book knowledge and to develop a much greater depth of empathy and understanding for those who are struggling.

So at Body, Brain and Bank as well as hosting the event I will be talking about how to develop a flexible mindset and a resilient mind to not only survive but thrive through the good times and the bad. I will also be facilitating the workshopping session after each speaker to ensure that you not only leave the event with a heap of new knowledge but with real, tangible action steps, to make real tangible changes when you get home and ensure that this isn’t just a fun, informative Saturday but a life changing experience.

John Purl

UK born, he Adelaide when he was five years old and now married, his two beautiful children have confirmed to him the importance of balance, focusing on the end goal and aligning your wealth accumulation strategy with your values and passions.

In 2004 he began working in the financial advice industry for an Adelaide based firm, but over time, his career took him to Melbourne to experience working at a Big 4 Australian bank and later a large American investment bank.

In 2014 he had the realisation that his personal values were not aligned with how banks conducted business. He wanted to develop genuine relationships with my clients and to put the client in their best financial position. A position that aligns with their goals, objectives and ultimately their values. This was a view the banks did not share. Affinitas Capital was established. A business created to provide a service that is deeper than just financial, it is about achieving goals and not sacrificing your health and wellbeing along the journey.

In 2020 he established ‘John Purl Coaching’ to work with individuals on delving deeper into self-reflection and understanding of:

Career/Business goals

Personal goals

Financial goals and perceived roadblocks

Life stresses

Why eat for resilience?

In a world where chronic disease is the norm, it's time to accept that the food we eat is one of the biggest contributing factors.

If you've ever wanted to reverse your poor health, heal uncomfortable symptoms, have more energy, lose weight, experience better moods or control your cravings, then resilient eating is for you.

In a talk that will leave you feeling inspired and ready to give yourself the health overhaul you need, Integrative Nutrition Coach Tori Vallen will expertly guide you through

WHY resilient eating is critical in a modern world

WHAT you can eat right now (and not eat!) to experience better health

HOW you can create a life-changing nutrition plan for yourself (No more falling off the wagon or succumbing to emotional/boredom or other unconscious habits!)

Tori helps women stop battling their bodies so they can live with joy. Melissa Anderson

Originally from Canberra, Melissa began dancing at the age of 3 before she moved to Adelaide to pursue her study in dance, completing her Bachelor in Dance Performance in 2008. The anatomy and kinesiology components of the course particularly appealed to Melissa, which aided in further understanding of the body.

Unfortunately, a pelvic injury was part of the deciding factor in not pursuing a dance career, so she followed her creative side and accrued a Diploma in Specialist Makeup Services. Her continuous Pilates attendance has facilitated her in the many hours of dance training from her teens, maintaining her technique to help prevent, rehabilitate and reduce further injuries.

With her Level 1 and Level 2 in CrossFit, Melissa emphasises the importance of the Pilates method and its ability to successfully emphasise core and body awareness, breathing, mobilisation and strengthening of the body within all physical activities and general daily life.

She is going to help us define what exercise involves and show us the spectrum of choice that exists in order to help you choose how you want to move in a way that fits in with your daily reality, without becoming a burden (it may not have to be as much as you previously thought).

Additional qualifications/accomplishments include:

Bachelor of Dance Performance
Diploma of Polestar Pilates Studio & Rehabilitation Method
CrossFit L1 & L2
Kettlebell Level 1 & Level 2
Diploma of Specialist Makeup Services
Pilates Alliance Australasia Full Member
Mentor for Polestar Pilates: Studio, Mat and Reformer
Kokoda Trek 2019
