Body Image and Eating Disorders: An Information Session for Parents and Carers
Event description
Recognise the signs of body image comparison and disordered eating in your children and teens with local industry professionals.
At this FREE and local information session, you will hear from:
Clinical Dietician from NSW Health with over 15 years experience working with children and young people facing eating disorders and poor mental health
Mental Health Clinician and Social Worker from headspace Wagga Wagga
Self-Confidence Educator and Founder of Bloom From Within, an allied health approved mentoring and positive body confidence program based in primary/high schools and community
What will I get out of this?
These local professionals will pass on their valuable knowledge, key information around disordered eating and guide you in what pathways to explore when supporting your child and/or young person.
This session is suitable for parents and carers of children and young people aged 10-25 years.
Young people aged 12+ years old are also welcome to attend with a responsible adult.
Registration recommended. Light snacks provided.
