Rangelands Living Skin Field Day and Workshop: Monitoring and Managing Soil and Landscape Health

Please join The Rangelands Living Skin Project and Rangelands Network for Soil Knowledge Project for a field day and workshops at Bokhara Plains, Brewarrina.  

This field day is an opportunity to come along and see first-hand some of the management strategies the Finlayson’s are using and trialling to improve cover, biodiversity and productivity across their property, and learn about strategies to monitor soil and landscape health.  

Key topics of the day will include: 

  • Hear from Graham, Cathy and Harriet about their management, goals and aspirations 
  • The Rangelands Living Skin project – an update on the project and trials 
  • The Rangeland Network for Soil Knowledge project – learn about techniques and strategies to monitor soil health, free soil testing (limited, RLS producers prioritised) 
  • Ground cover monitoring, mapping and management (Craig Strong, ANU) 
  • Grazing management (James Barnett, RCS) 

Date: 9th March 2023 9:00am – 3:00pm 

Location: Bokhara Plains, Goodooga Road, Brewarrina (30km north of Brewarrina) 

Bring: Hat, closed shoes. Morning tea & lunch provided
