You are invited to attend our going-away party before we embark on filming the documentary-led PhD project, WHAT THE FUTURE: Community Living in a Time of Crisis

What The Future is a PhD research project told through documentary film, exploring what helps communities thrive in times of global crisis. Over the past year, Susanna has been researching the topic, while I’ve been refreshing my filmmaking craft. Together, we’ve been learning new skills in preparation for this great adventure. We’re excited to share more about the project and to invite friends and colleagues to join a community of virtual travellers, following both the research and the journey as it unfolds.

Event Logistics & Details:

• A light buffet dinner is included in your ticket and will be served buffet-style on arrival at 6:00 PM. The menu will cater for a wide range of dietary requirements.

• Drinks are available for purchase and are not included in the ticket price.

• Parking at the venue is limited. Additional street parking is available throughout the Arts & Industry Estate, including designated accessibility parking spots.

• Before 7:00 PM, we’ll share a short presentation about What The Future, including a few clips and a musical performance. This will run for no longer than 30 minutes.

• At the door, we’ll ask whether you’d like to join our newsletter. Subscribers will receive occasional updates, reflections from the road, and perhaps a short video or two. We’d love to have you travel with us in this way.

• The venue will close at 9:00 PM.
