The Bondi Cigars, NSW timeless legends of Blues. The unpretentious nature of the Cigar's music is an obvious reason for the longevity of the band. The ongoing musical teamwork of 2 foundation members, Shane Pacey and Al Britton, who continue to co-lead the band. This also explains the consistency of the band’s sound, instantly recognizable for 17 years now, despite personnel changes and occasional stylistic variations. Front man Shane Pacey has long been a forceful, convincing singer, and a hard-attacking, razor sharp guitarist in the modern blowtorch style of Albert Collins, Joe Louis Walker, Larry McCray and other crazy string Benders; he’s also an outstanding prolific songwriter, and there’s ample evidence in these tracks of his sardonic, savvy and slightly warped way with lyrics.
Support, Jake Hoskins is a singer, guitarist and songwriter originally from Margaret River (W.A.). With 1 album, 4 singles and two EP’s under his belt, Heartleap Lane and Signs in the sky. Jake has had multiple successes, including supporting well-respected musician, Danny Widdicombe at the World-class Queensland Performing Arts Centre and sharing the stage with greats like Mason Rack Band and Mojo Webb. Jake thrives on setting the vibe with his infectious presence and sound. Playing mostly originals, his style ranges from blues, soul, folk, rock and pop. With solid experience of performing at local gigs and festivals (including two national tours).
