Practices and Support for Women transitioning into Menopause

This gathering is for women on the verge of Menopause, for women who have already arrived on the other side and it’s also for women who are still cycling regularly but who feel drawn to get a sense about bone care and would love to be in the context of Menopause.

I have put together practices and explorations for you to get acquainted with your bones from different perspectives on an experiential/somatic level:

🌹 We start with the eastern view on bones, in the Taoist tradition the bones, in particular the bone marrow is seen as a very important aspect of our physicality, and it needs to be cultivated, particularly as we get older because it creates the blood and supports our basic life-force.

🌹 You are introduced or reminded of the western anatomical lens into the bones, their anatomy and physiology, and invited and guided into actually feeling your bones, accessing them in a somatic way, experiencing the felt sense of their anatomy.

🌹 We talk about care for the bones, what the bones like to eat, and you’ll experience different practices to support them.

🌹 You’ll be guided into the trans-personal, the shamanistic realm of the bones, into a guided exploration to feel the significance of your bones, the symbols they're holding in your psyche, the wisdom they're carrying.

🌹 most of the practices are done by yourself.

🌹there are inquiries in couples to open up more deeply into your psyche and support for insights and inspirations to emerge from the subconscious.

🌹and there will be some touch practices in couples to support deep nourishment and rejuvenation.

🌹I’ll send out an email with comprehensive notes and a recorded
practice to all participants after the workshop.

The physical practices are inspired by Taoist cultivation, somatic explorations, yoga and dance, meditation and nature connection.

We'll gather in a safe, confidential,
nourishing space where personal exploration and discoveries are
supported. All practices are suggestions, rest and/or following your own guidance on how to move your body in any moment are always honored and welcome.

Our meeting is in the context of Menopause, as it’s with the changing of the hormones that women usually wake up to the need of deeper self-care and the loss of bone mass becomes subject.

I totally love to offer support to women in this phase of life, during this Rite of Passage. I have experienced for myself and I see that there is a remarkable shift in consciousness happening for women propelled through this transition.

Being stripped to the bones is an expression that is often used to describe a Woman as She travels through this rite of passage. Many aspects of Her life are needing to be reviewed and assessed. Space is needed in order to allow the psyche to keep up with the physiological shifts, the changing hormones. As She stops cycling there is a shift from naturally wanting to care for kids and/or family structure into a desire for self-exploration, deepening self knowledge and actualisation of it.

There is so much wisdom, advocacy and power available from the Magas and the Crones, power to bring more sanity and connection into our communities and onto this planet. I love to support the re-emergence of the female elder- and leadership, the recognition and honoring of what is on offer.

There won’t be space for a group sharing during the workshop but I feel to open up the space for a sharing and reflection circle after we officially close the session. This will be at no extra cost and I will still be leading to make sure that there is space for everybody to share and be heard. Please indicate your interest by sending me a quick note via email for this even so we can see in the moment after the workshop if there’s juice in our bones to stay on or not. Indication of interest is without pressure to actually follow through on the night.
