Everyone's a winner - Ceramic Trophy Making Workshop

Award yourself! Make your own ceramic trophy, guided by potter Bonnie Hislop, in celebration or achievements big, small or hilarious. In this session you will make and paint your piece, which will then be glazed fired by Bonnie and available for collection in approx 4 weeks.

No prior experience with ceramics? No problem! Bonnie Hislop, an accomplished artist based in Meanjin, draws on her expertise in handbuilding and ceramic illustration to guide you through the process. Learn the basics of shaping clay and applying underglaze while tapping into Bonnie's passion for blending traditional craftsmanship with contemporary creativity.

Bonnie's work, celebrated for its vibrant colors and satirical concepts, invites participants to explore personal expression through clay. Her pieces have been featured in prominent exhibitions and collections, including the Museum of Brisbane, showcasing her unique approach to ceramics as a medium for storytelling and reflection.

Your trophy will be fired and glazed, ready to collect about a month after the class concludes. We’ll let you know when they’re ready for you to take home.
