Highly Recommended
I highly recommend a Bonsai and Brews afternoon. Mason gives lots of practical tips about how to care for your new bonsai at home even if you have the simplest equipment and minimal gardening skills.

Bonsai and Brews is a fun, easygoing workshop to share with friends or family, where you leave with a great story (and your own bonsai tree).
This beginner-friendly 2 hour workshop gets you hands-on from the start. Bonsai expert Mason guides you through potting, shaping, and wiring a bonsai, drawing on 30 years of experience and plenty of humour to keep things relaxed.
No experience needed, if you can hold a pair of scissors, you’ll be just fine.
Grab your drink of choice, settle in, and enjoy two hours of practical learning. You’ll head home with your own bonsai, how to care for it, and the confidence to keep it growing long after the event.
You’ll go home with:
A bonsai tree you choose yourself
A ceramic bonsai pot
Two hours of hands-on bonsai learning and wisdom
Ongoing support through the nursery and online resources
We’ll provide everything you need to work with:
A drink on us!
Bonsai soil and materials
Shears for trimming
Bamboo for digging
Wiring and shaping tools
A few things to know:
Limited spots available (30 people)
Held over two hours at Goons Brewing
Stay on after the workshop for a few bevvys.
If you’ve ever wanted to learn bonsai basics in a great setting with your own plant to take home, this workshop is for you.
No. Our events are ticketed per person, not per tree, so everyone attending must have a ticket. This is because space is limited to 30 and we need to be able to sell tickets for every seat we have available. Thank you for understanding.
Ample free street and onsite parking is available at Jervis Bay Brewing Co (located at 3 Duranbah Drive, Huskisson NSW).
Parking Details
Onsite & Street Parking: Free street parking and designated parking are available around the brewery.
Accessibility: The venue provides a dedicated accessible parking spot on-site.
Busy Periods: Street parking can fill up during peak times, such as Sunday afternoons, Friday/Saturday evenings, or major event days, so plan to arrive a little early or allow extra time to find a spot nearby in the industrial estate.
