Bonsai Beyond Essentials: Level 3 with Peter Olsen

In this class, we explore bonsai techniques with cold-hardy trees. This class will include a tree as students begin to take their bonsai skills from the easier tropicals to the evergreen and deciduous trees that the Japanese have made so famous for the past 2000 years.  We take the skills we learned in the previous two classes of watering, lighting, and fertilizing and learn how to apply them to our cold-hardy counterparts. Discover how to overwinter a tree that cannot remain inside during the cold months.  We then repot our cold-hardy tree into the included bonsai container and learn to prune.

Upon completion of all 4 classes, students receive Meraki Bonsai’s Certification of Completion in Bonsai Techniques
