Community Planting Morning – Plains Road, Aldinga
Grab your gloves and join Biodiversity McLaren Vale, Hills Face Landcare , and SA Water for a feel-good morning of planting, connection, and care for Country.
🗓 Sunday 15 June 2025
🕙 10am – 12pm
📍 SA Water: Plains Road, Aldinga (follow the signs and the muddy boots!)
We’ll be planting along a 600m stretch of the main water courses that flows into the Aldinga Washpool Conservation Park – a unique and rare coastal wetland, and one of Adelaide’s last remaining freshwater and estuarine lagoon systems. This extraordinary place supports threatened coastal saltmarsh, migratory shorebirds, and a rich diversity of native species. It also holds deep cultural and spiritual significance for the Kaurna people.
Every plant helps restore this landscape and improves water quality flowing into the Washpool.
Bring: sturdy shoes, gloves, a water bottle, long sleeves and pants, and your good vibes.
No experience needed – just a love of nature and a willingness to get your hands dirty!
🌿 Let’s grow something that matters.
