BOOK + BOTTLE'S 6TH ANNIVERSARY IS HEREEEEE!

That's right, Book + Bottle has been slinging books and wine, creating joy, building community, and becoming a cornerstone of St. Pete's local business scene for 6 years now. Can you believe it? And if there's one thing we've learned over the last 6 years...it's how to throw a party.

Come celebrate with us on Sunday, May 17th from 12pm-7pm!

We'll be giving out free bubbles and cake ALL DAY!

But the real fun is from 1PM-4PM - During this time we have Rohry from Sick Dope Fresh coming to do LIVE T-SHIRT PRINTING for a campus colors anniversary exclusive tshirt. The design was crafted by the talented Cristi Lopez and we couldn't be more excited to share it with you! The shirt will be available in two colors and we're dropping the design on the day of our anniversary. When you come into the shop to purchase, Rohry will print the t-shirt right before your eyes.

And if that isn't enough, DJ Nugget is bringing tunes from 1pm-4pm. He curates vibes all around town, but this will be his first time at Book + Bottle!

If you've been following our story long enough, you might have noticed that we didn't make any anniversary plans this March. Usually, we share our anniversary with St. Patrick's Day AND our very own Dominic's birthday (gasp!).

The truth is that sharing our anniversary with a big drinking holiday has always been difficult. As much as we love green beer...we just don't want it on our birthday. And if you know Dominic, you know that's the real holiday we're competing with.

So, now that we have approached SIX years of slinging books and wine, creating joy, building community, and becoming a cornerstone of St. Pete's local business scene, we've decided to celebrate our anniversary during a month that's just as dear to our hearts.

Here's the story: Book + Bottle hustled to open on March 17th, 2020, knowing that pandemic shutdowns were imminent. We were open for only a couple of days before COVID-19 forced us to close our doors indefinitely. We didn't have a big grand opening or a line around the block. Rather, our owner, Terra Dunham, ventured into a season of virtual bookclubs, front porch wine deliveries, and trying to build customer relationships through masks and a six-foot social distancing gap. She'd spent months prepping, renovating, and gearing up to run a brick and mortar only to have to close its doors during uncertain days. Yet, in those dark times we also met customers who have become very dear friends: we can look back now and see that creating joy for our customers started here—back when we all needed a little light in the dark.

It wasn't until May of 2020 that Book + Bottle re-opened its doors. March was a false-start. May was a time where the city's psychology changed and we all had to re-learn how to interact with each other. We were smiling behind our masks and hoping that each book, bottle of wine, or good cup of coffee would help heal us after months of anxiety. Slowly but surely, we made it to where we are now: A flourishing business that acts as a safe space for our community during the hardest of times. We are so proud to be here sharing the joy of books and wine with you.

It is no small thing to say that none of this would have been possible without the people who walk through our doors. Thank you, thank you, thank you. We could not be where we are today without our wonderful customers who have, over the years, become our friends. We have made every small decision with all of you in mind. You are the Book + Bottle magic.
