Book Club: Elements of AI - Braneshop & PyLadies Collaboration - [Chapter 1]

Elements of AI is a free online course created by Reaktor and the University of Helsinki. The course is aimed at the general public: no programming and  “the course is designed so that no pre-existing knowledge beyond basic math is expected.”

This is a book club to run through the course together. The aim is to support each other through the material, share our thoughts as we traverse the different concepts, [when possible] bring in people who are experts to shine more light, and generally to learn about AI. Together is better!

This is a collaborative event series between Braneshop and PyLadies Melbourne.

PyLadies is a worldwide network of women using Python. Braneshop is a start-up specialised in strategic and technical AI education, with a focus on increasing representation within AI.

We will meet every two weeks at Our Community House in North Melbourne. From 6-7ish.

Join us for all or any of the chapters!

-------------------------------------------

It will run like book club! You read/do, we discuss, we learn :)

- Each person goes through the chapter's content _before_ the day.

- On the day we have some guided discussion about what we learned.

- We go through particularly difficult problems, if any.

- We have an unstructured discussion about what we learned, maybe some invited experts to give us more food for thought.

*up for modification as the group decides.
