About the Book:

OUR LAST BOOK CLUB OF THE YEAR!

And we’ve been waiting for this one to land.

We’re finishing the Book Club Social year with Exit Party by Emily St. John Mandel, the brand-new novel from the bestselling author of Station Eleven and Sea of Tranquility. And honestly… we’re very excited about this one.

Set in 2031, America is at war with itself, but Los Angeles is experiencing a brief moment of hope. The curfew has been lifted, the Republic of California has been declared, and everyone is heading to a party.

Ari, newly released from prison, arrives with her friend Gloria — but something is very wrong. There are people at the party who shouldn’t be there. A mysterious double appears. And then the host disappears.

Years later, Ari is living a completely different life in Paris, still haunted by what happened that night. As the mystery unfolds, the story stretches across parallel worlds, fractured timelines, surveillance, crime, love and loss — taking us from a divided America to Greece, Paris and even a colony on the moon.

Basically… Emily St. John Mandel has entered the chat and we’re expecting things to get weird.

Get your copy from Bookgrove — they’re stocked up and ready for you!
