TGBC Presents BOOK DAY OUT 2027 - Men's Reading Festival - Melbourne

We would like to invite you to be a part of the inaugural TGBC Book Day Out, a groundbreaking festival designed to celebrate men’s reading, community, and connection as one of our Stallholders.

Taking place in January 2027 at the Welcome to Thornbury, this event transforms the Tough Guy Book Club’s authentic, no-nonsense culture into a massive one-day festival. With an expected attendance of 1,000 men and friends, this festival offers a unique opportunity to engage directly with a dedicated, active, and underserved demographic of readers who are eager to discover their next great book or merchandise that goes with reading.

This festival is more than just a marketplace; it is a strategic platform designed to change narratives around the male readership market. By bringing together 60 exhibitors, including independent publishers, local bookstores, comic creators, and curated lifestyle vendors, we are creating a vibrant, high-traffic environment where you can connect face-to-face with a hungry but hard-to-reach book-buying audience. It is an ideal space to showcase your offerings, reach new customers, and be part of an event that proves male engagement with literature is a vital and exciting market.

Beyond the marketplace, the event will feature main stage panels with Authors, casual discussion in the bar, and live music, ensuring a dynamic atmosphere throughout the day. Your hosts are Tough Guy Book Club, the 10,000-person 200+ location charity network of men's book clubs that meet monthly in local pubs to get guys to read more books, meet people, and have rowdy conversations.

Each market stall will be allocated a random 2m x 2m stall area and a 1.8m x 0.8m table with a tablecloth. (Power available on request)
