Whether you’ve been dreaming about Tara since the last 18 November, you’ve seen the books and are curious, or you’re a Proust specialist intrigued by a modern Danish, this is your chance to get together to read, then talk (if you want to). On launch day.

12pm–5pm: Quiet reading
Under a tree or in a cosy reading tent at Edgar’s Inn, we’ll have the time and space to travel with Tara: quiet, uninterrupted reading, with just a bit of noise from passers-by.

Collect your pre-ordered copy of On the Calculation of Volume V from us (order here: https://shop.bookcow.com.au/c/book-doof-cbr), or BYOB.

Fans of all things Scandi might also be tempted by the ‘Solvej Balle Spring’ tee. Yes, we are fans of @dylanstshirtclub, and yes, he kindly gave us his blessing to make our own.

5pm–8pm: Book chat and a meal
Emerge from Volume V and join (or rejoin) us at Mama Dough for pizza, tiramisu or a glass of wine. It’s choose your own adventure. Best of all, you can debrief live with fellow readers, or explain to someone what all the hype is about. What could be better?

Date: Tuesday 3 November, from 12pm
Quiet reading (12–5pm): Free. Pre-order the book and/or tee when you book.
Book chat (5–8pm): Free. Food and drink at your own cost.
Venue: Edgar’s Inn / Mama Dough, Shop 2/1 Wakefield Gardens, Ainslie ACT 2602
