Book Fair for Grown Ups

Remember the thrill of a Scholastic Book Fair as a kid? We’re bringing that nostalgia back, but for grown-ups!

July 11th, 2026 at the Minnesota State Fairground Grandstand

General Admission 12:00-7:00PM

In partnership with The Loft Literary Center

Discover new books and meet local authors

Shop from indie bookstores and bookish crafters

Sip on craft drinks while you browse from two outdoor food courts (sorry, no free drink this year)

Children 12 and under get in for FREE

In 2025 we featured 140 local authors, publishers, bookstores, and crafters all in one place. We held it in the Education Building at the State Fair Grounds.

Based on the success and feedback from 2025, we are moving to a larger venue. The Grandstand at the Minnesota State Fair Grounds will be the home for the 2026 State Fair Book Fair for Grown Ups. We have confirmed 240 authors, publishers, bookstores, craft makers, plus more. There will be a food trucks and craft beverages available outdoors in front of the Grandstand.
