Event description

Ticket sales begin on October 27, 2025 at 8pm ET. There are two two-day sessions (June 9-10 & June 11-12).

[Ticket sales are one per person/transaction. Participants may attend one session only. Anyone purchasing tickets for multiple sessions, or otherwise "gaming the system," may have their tickets canceled/refunded, minus transaction fees. While we make every effort to ensure ticketing is fair, we cannot take responsibility for internet glitches, billing issues, or other challenges.]

Join Liz for two inspiring days of creative play, experimentation, and bookmaking magic!

We’ll begin by creating master sheets — beautifully layered, mixed-media papers built from unexpected treasures such as maps, junk mail, shipping charts, and magazine pages. With gesso, acrylic paint, rubber stamps, and your favourite mark-making tools, we’ll transform these humble materials into vibrant, textured works of art. Expect to get a little messy and have a lot of fun as you discover new ways to add depth, pattern, and personality to your pages.

Once our master sheets are complete, we’ll move on to crafting a set of three soft-covered journals. Liz, known for her love of collections, will guide you through assembling your own delightful trio of scrumptious handmade journals — each one unique, expressive, and ready to fill with future ideas, sketches, or stories.

Throughout the workshop, Liz will share her tips, tricks, and extensive knowledge of bookmaking, ensuring that both beginners and seasoned artists leave feeling inspired and confident.

Come along for two days of creativity, camaraderie, and colorful exploration — and go home with your own beautiful collection of handmade journals!

These intimate sessions are limited to 12 participants each.
