Join us at Harry Hartog Mosman for the book Launch of Bram Connolly's book 100 Ways I Almost Died on Wednesday the 26th of August! He will be joined in conversation by former Sunrise presenter Major Mark Beretta!

About the Book

For more than two decades, Bram Connolly's life was a relentless march through some of the world's most volatile landscapes, brutal conflicts and extreme training. Serving in the Australian Army and the elite Commando Regiment, he took part in dozens of high-risk operations, each marked by close calls and narrow escapes. Many of the dangers he faced were only fully exposed hours, days or even months later. In 100 Ways I Almost Died, readers are thrust into the heart-pounding reality of military life: falling from cliffs, planes and helicopters, dodging RPGs and machine gun fire, battling hypothermia and heat exhaustion, escaping asphyxiation in a snow cave, stepping on an IED, avoiding sniper fire and leading assaults on enemy compounds. But this book is far more than a catalogue of near misses. It's a sharp, often sobering exploration of situational awareness, the unseen hazards that lurk behind every decision and the sheer unpredictability of combat; where even the most prepared soldiers rely, at times, on luck alone. Both a cautionary tale and a tribute to the resilience of those who serve, this account is a rare and gripping insight from Bram into the hidden and the hard-won lessons forged in moments where life hangs in the balance.
