All welcome to the launch of Catholic Thoughts and Catholic Action: Scenes from Australian Catholic Life
Guest speaker: Senator Jacinta Price, Senator for the Northern Territory

The Catholic quarter of the Australian population have been driven by a unique  vision of how humans fit in God’s universe and of how objective ethics should  inform individual and collective action. Saints and sinners, they transformed  Australian society in directions it would not otherwise have moved.

James Franklin is the editor of the Journal of the Australian Catholic Historical Society and  author of Catholic Values and Australian Values; The Real Archbishop Mannix, and books on  Australian philosophy and the foundations of ethics.

"an important development and contribution to understanding the comparatively little known influences in how Catholics have thought and acted with regard to our politics  and our culture.” - Peter Rosengren, editor, Catholic Weekly
