We warmly invite you to join us when we welcome Dr Bee Lim to celebrate the launch of her debut book Welcome Home: Healing Trauma and Reclaiming Wholeness. Bee will be joined in conversation for this event by Lisa Barlin.

ABOUT THE BOOK

Welcome Home is seen through the eyes of Isabel Meilin, who wanders through a mysterious house built from memory, where she meets Rabbit, Ox, Wolf, and Crane, inner protectors shaped by fear, duty, rage, and distance. Each carries a question: What do I need to feel safe enough to be seen?

Blending clinical insight with trauma-informed storytelling and the emotional landscape of diasporic identity, Welcome Home speaks to those who carry much, feel deeply and rarely feel safe, especially readers navigating intergenerational silence, diaspora identity, and emotional suppression.

Tender, validating and giftable, this book is a soft place to land when the world feels sharp, and an invitation to remember the wholeness that has always been yours.

PRAISE FOR WELCOME HOME

“Welcome Home is a deeply moving story that captures the essence of recovery from complex and intergenerational trauma with great sensitivity and heart. It blends narrative, allegory, art, and psychology in a uniquely creative way that offers readers an opportunity for gentle self-reflection.” - Dr. Valerie Lieu, clinical psychologist and director of Head in the Clouds.
