Book Launch - "Yoga From Menarche to Motherhood" Kylie Hennessy
Description
BOOK LAUNCH
Yoga from Menarche to Motherhood: An Inclusive and Compassionate Approach to Women’s Health
You are invited to the launch of a book millennia in the making. Written by Kylie Hennessy, this work is a manifesto for epistemic justice, reclaiming the authority of women’s bodily knowledge from patriarchal medical narratives.
The Conversation
Join Kylie for wine, nibbles, and a deep-dive discussion hosted by Dr. Mary Jo McVeigh OAM - acclaimed trauma therapist, author, and researcher - alongside expert contributors Annabelle Peacock, Karima Andrea Eames, Jaya Lalwani, and Scarlett Franks.
From menstruation and fertility through the sacred thresholds of Menarche and Matrescence, to grief and trauma recovery, we will explore how yoga frameworks and models - such as the Vyuham Model, the Eight Limbs of Yoga, Chakras, and Panca Kosha - help bridge the gap between ancient wisdom and modern women's healthcare.
About the Author

Over 30 years, she has woven her Science degree (Sydney University) with her experience as a Yoga practitioner, Yoga Teacher and Therapist, Birth Educator, Doula, Teacher Trainer, and mother. Kylie has created a "Science-meets-Soul" reference for anyone seeking to move from Dukkha (suffering) to Sukha (ease). This is a guide for individuals and those in professional practice working holistically.
Come join the conversation on reclaiming the feminine.
