Description
Join us for our first ever Book Social Club; a relaxed, wholesome morning for book lovers and making new friends!
Every guest will get to unwrap a blind date with a book, handpicked by book lovers (hopefully finding your new favourite read). All books will be sourced locally, and most will be great-condition, second-hand; perfect for you and the planet. We will get chatting over some bookish conversation starters, while sipping on a Teddy's Matcha made by their friendly team.
We are excited to have Fluffë fairy floss and Mateo soda at the event, as well as some other treats from local baker Cocoa and Crumb.
We are huge readers, so cannot wait to launch this new event, chat about books and meet you all!

Fee Transparency
We are so excited about this event, but the costs to run it are quite expensive. Your ticket fees will go towards purchasing the complimentary food and drinks, the venue hire, all the books for you to take home, as well as printing materials, and having helpers. We appreciate your support for this event - it will allow us to run more creative events in the future!

Refund Policy
We will be offering ticket refunds up to 5 days before the event, as we cater to each attendee's dietary requirements and will need to confirm these at least 5 days prior to the event. Please contact us at hello@scrapsociety.com.au if you are unable to attend after this point, and we can try to organise a ticket transfer or credit for a future event.

- Can I come alone?
Absolutely! People often attend our events alone, and it is a wonderful environment to make new friends.
- Is the venue accessible by public transport?
Gorman Arts Centre is accessible via one of two bus stops in Braddon: one on Ainslie Avenue; and one on Doonkuna Street. To find the best route, call Transport Canberra on 131 710 or use their Journey Planner.
- Is there parking at the venue?
Gorman Arts Centre has ACT Government metered parking. Paid parking is also available at the Canberra Centre Mall, located 500m away. Free on-street parking is available in the surrounding areas with some time-limited spots. Accessible parking is available at both centres.
- Is the venue accessible?
Ainslie+Gorman have wheel-chair accessible entrances, accessible toilets and accessible parking options.
