Join Us for a FREE Family Fun Day to Launch Book Week!
The School of Education with the Children's Book Council of Australia (CBCA) is excited to host a FREE Family Fun Day to kick off Book Week!
This Family Outreach Day will bring together local CBCA authors, children, teachers, and families to celebrate the joy of quality literature and reading. We are thrilled to host renowned local authors and illustrators, including Sami Bayly, Paul Russell, Jess Black, Jenny Blackford, Jade Goodwin, Jenni Goodman, and Deb Kelly.
Highlights of the day include:
- 'Reading is Magic' face painting from Mystic Festival Arts
- A Magic Show!
- Meet and greet with local authors and illustrators
- Interactive workshops and book readings
- Immersive shows in the School of Education iCave
- Tea, coffee and refreshments available for purchase from the HIVE Coffee shop
- Book sales courtesy of Macleans Booksellers
- Lucky door prizes and free bookmarks for kids!
- For those eager to show off their Book Week costumes, join us for a fun-filled dress-up parade!
