Bookbinding with Pru Quarmby
Event description
Create a beautiful A5 book hand-bound with leather straps.
This beautiful art journal with coptic binding has 60 leaves (120 pages) of 125gsm artist-quality cartridge paper. The 3-dimensional cover is created by using a raised design under the paper cover.
Each section is 'wrapped' in a colour coordinating card, which enables the owner to add extra information to the journal using adhesive. A kit is supplied with board, a stitching template, paper, thin board to cut out for the design, needles and thread.
All tools will be provided - cutting mats, cutters, bradawls, glue, brushes etc. Additional bookbinding materials will be available to purchase
Note: if you have materials you wish to bring along and would not require a kit, please send us an email.
