Booker Magazine is written and produced on Gadigal land. This land has been home to the oldest living civilisation on earth and its traditions of story-telling. As a publication that celebrates the writing, music, theatre, film, and creativity of this locality, it is paramount to acknowledge that First Nations culture extends thousands of years before colonisation and persists to this day, forming a vibrant part of art, society, politics, and community in Sydney and across so-called Australia. Sovereignty was never ceded. Always was, always will be Aboriginal land.
