Books & Bubbles with Flip Grater

Ballantynes Books and Bubbles is all about showcasing some of the beautiful books that we sell both in store and online.

At our final Books and Bubbles for 2023, Ballantynes is delighted to welcome Flip Grater of Grater Goods plant based deli & bistro.

This event is perfect for any foodies out there or those who have ever wondered about adding more plant-based options to their diet.

The very successful Grater Goods was started by Kiwi musician Flip Grater and French Moroccan hospitality superstar Youssef Iskrane. The name Grater Goods is a reference to Flip’s grandfather, whose family business was Grater & Sons, a butchery in Sunderland, England, dating back to the early Twentieth Century. Grater Goods is both a nod to this heritage and a subversion of it, with a 100% plant-based menu to cater to contemporary tastes and current planetary priorities.

Flip will be chatting about her journey so far, her philosophy on food, and also demonstrating how to build the perfect plant-based grazing platter.
