At our second Books and Bubbles, Ballantynes is delighted to welcome local talent Sue Heazlewood - the author of some beautiful books including the cookbook A Table at Tangleby.

Cooking, gardening and making her home feel special have always been a big part of Sue’s life. She always dreamed of the type of home she would have one day – a classic country house surrounded by colourful, inviting gardens. One day she found that perfect home –Tangleby - with a large kitchen and a paddock providing the perfect blank canvas for the garden of her dreams. With a love of entertaining, Sue enjoys sharing her home with family, friends and neighbours.

Her beautiful book, A Table at Tangleby, brings together a personal collection of dishes that often grace the table at Tangleby.

We invite you to join us as we interview Sue to learn more about her inspirations and her journey in creating such a beautiful cookbook. We will also enjoy a cooking class with Sue - learning tips and tricks on what she does best - creating delicious food. Specifically, Sue will show us how to make some of the dishes in A Table at Tangleby and will share with us tips and tricks for the kitchen including the art of velveting your meat before cooking to ensure it is 100% tender – a real game changer!
