The Perfect Bookish Sunday Afternoon Comes to Leederville

Looking for a way to cap off your weekend that isn’t just "watching Netflix on the couch"?

Books in the Brewery is thrilled to have been invited to be a part of the Leederville Arts Fest this year. Bringing our fun and light hearted event for readers that ditches the formal vibes for something much more relaxed and usually with a cheeky drink or two.

So bring your mates, grab a drink, order some lunch from the kitchen, and settle in for an engaging afternoon with four of WA’s most celebrated authors. No dull interview here, just great storytellers having a chat about great stories right in the heart of Leedy.

The Talent

We’ve assembled an incredible lineup of West Australian storytellers, featuring:

Tamara Moss: Best known for her middle-grade Lintang fantasy series and her #1 New York Times bestselling YA murder mystery The Escape Game (co-authored with Marissa Meyer). New murder mystery Five Voices out now.

Sasha Wasley: Beloved Perth-hills author who writes rural romance, commercial fiction, and young adult mysteries.

Laurie Steed: An award-winning novelist, short story writer, and editor known for his short story collection Greater City Shadows and his debut novel You Belong Here.

Emma Pignatiello: A Western Australian author of romantic suspense, best known for her Blood Wine Dynasty series including Last Shot and Last Breath.

The Panel: Pull up a chair for an easygoing chat about the stories we love, the books that made us writers and those that we can't help but recommend.

The Q&A: Your chance to join the conversation. Ask about their creative process, their favourite local haunts, or even the best way to murder someone (strictly in a fictional sense, of course).

Story Bites: Enjoy short, atmospheric readings as the authors share a few of their favourite moments from some of their favourite books.

Book Sales & Signings: Our friends at Boundless Books will be on-site with a pop-up shop so you can browse the titles and get your copies signed by the panel.
