Boomerang Bags Community Day- Re-usable wreath making

Join Boomerang Bags Sydney Inner West for a hands-on working bee! 🧵♻️

Boomerang Bags Sydney Inner West (BBSIW) are getting festive and invite you to their next community working bee.

Come along, meet the group and get involved in a relaxed morning of making, chatting and repurposing materials.

This is a fun workshop for creating a re-usable festive decoration from scrap fabrics, ribbon oddments and an old wire coat hanger!

It’s a great way to use up small bits of fabric or ribbon that might usually go into landfill, and you can use it again and again each year.

There’s no rules about colour schemes either – go traditional red/green or go crazy with brights!

No special skills required, this is suitable for everyone to join in. If you have any fabric scraps or ribbons, small decorations like bells to tie on, or an old wire coat hanger at home – bring it along with you. Otherwise we can share the resources we have gathered.

No sewing or crafting experience is needed, and everyone is welcome!

No experience needed. Refreshments and snacks will be provided.

Boomerang Bags Sydney Inner West (BBSIW) is a volunteer-led, not-for-profit group that transforms donated fabric into reusable bags and sustainable products, helping to reduce waste and plastic pollution. Through community projects, workshops and repair advice, BBSIW promotes the principles of Reduce, Reuse, Repurpose, Recycle and Repair.
