Border Track (O'Reilly's to Binna Burra) - Guided Walk: Sun 30 Apr 2023
Full day guided walk along the Border Track from Green Mountains (O'Reilly's) to Binna Burra (8.00am to 5.00pm)
21.4km / 7-8 hour walk (grade 4)
Walk along the backbone of Lamington National Park, the spectacular hike that features lookouts, waterfalls, gullies, and streams. We follow the ridge-line between Green Mountains and Binna Burra, strolling through subtropical rainforest, temperate forest, and past ancient Antarctic Beech trees. At the lookouts, we peer into the Tweed and Limpinwood valleys, and glimpse the peak of Wollumbin (Mt Warning).
$99 - includes transfer, morning tea (BYO lunch, extra snacks & water)
NOTE: we require a minimum number of guests for all our guided walks which allows us to cover the cost of your guide/s who work hard to ensure you enjoy your hike.
We have a total of 12 guests and 2 guides as at 29.04.23
Inclusions:
- guidance and interpretation by up to two local, experienced guides (1 guide / 8 guests)
- $5-7 of your ticket price goes directly to Qld national parks for upkeep & improvement of the park
- first aid & CPR trained guides
- light morning tea
- bus transfer to O'Reilly's
- pickup at Binna Burra Teahouse (7.15am sharp) or Canungra School of Arts 7.45am for 8.00am departure (see below)
Bring:
- day pack with lunch & 2-3 L water
- waterproof jacket
- 2-3 layers of quick drying outdoor clothing
- comfortable hiking boots or shoes (ankle protection advised)
- hiking poles if preferred
- hat, sunglasses & buff
- head-torch with batteries (we may finish the walk in the twilight)
Pick Up / Drop Off Times:
- Vehicle transfer from Binna Burra Teahouse to Canungra: departing 7.15am sharp
- Bus transfer from Canungra School of Arts to O'Reillys: 7.45am for 8.00am departure
- Transfer back from Binna Burra to Canungra:Â approx 5-5.30pm depending on walkers arrival
