BORDERS is a creative enquiry into people and place – exploring the relationship between creative communities in Victorian and New South Wales cross-border towns and their Murray River environment. Over the last two years, artists from across NSW & VIC have been participating in series of online gatherings, as well as place-based research labs along the Murray River, concerning creative enquiry into place. 

Presented in partnership with Murray Arts and HotHouse Theatre, the Albury-Wodonga Lab pursues the question: what is a border? We consider the notion of border towns, the Murray river as a border, and our bodies as borders within our environment. We investigate how individually, and as communities, we can connect and respond to the river. 

A collective of local and visiting artists have completed a 10 day residency at the Greenhouse. Join us on Sunday afternoon to meet the artists as they share with you their outcomes in progress. 

Please arrive at 2.45pm at the Wonga Wetlands carpark, in preparation to depart for a guided walk at 3pm sharp.

Please note this event includes a walk of approx 500 metres at an easy pace. If you have any questions regarding access, please feel welcome to contact us. Be sure to wear closed in shoes and warm layers.
