Born in WA - A story of global ambition, built locally: another RMBWA Event

Fellow RMBWA Members and Guests,

We are pleased to invite you to our upcoming Rotary Means Business WA event on Tuesday, 14 April, at The Wembley Hotel.

This month’s discussion is titled: “Born in WA”

Our guest speaker, Mike Murphy, will share an insightful and quietly remarkable story of a Western Australian venture operating in a global, highly competitive market — and doing so at a level few would expect.

This is not a technical presentation. Nor is it a conventional business case study.

It is a conversation about:

• What it takes to build something world-class from Western Australia

• The mindset required to compete beyond perceived geographic limits

• The discipline, risk, and decision-making behind sustained performance

• Why some ventures quietly outperform while others struggle for relevance

There is a deeper story here — one that reflects both opportunity and responsibility for those building, advising, and leading businesses in WA. We will intentionally leave part of that story for the evening itself.
