Synopsis

A desperate princess creates a mystery. An accidental dragon creates a crisis. It is left to a gentle book-loving priest with a dangerous past to solve the mystery. But who can solve the crisis? This is a fantasy with a love story at its heart. It is also the tale of a bullied king, a prince who has bitten off more than he can chew and an unmarriageable girl who wins his heart. And who is the impossibly beautiful but dangerous girl who comes into their lives and disrupts the realm? Aimed at adult fantasy readers. This is Game of Thrones without the casualized violence. Told in a lyrical, quasi-medieval language, it has something of Ursula Le Guin about the style, something of Dune about the characters. If you like dragonshifter tales, political intrigue and a little bit of sex and swordplay, this is the book for you.

Ivy will be putting a copy of Born of Fire into PCWC's library. If you are a published author, you are welcome to bring your book(s) to add to our library, as well as read a short excerpt from your book at the event.
