From the beach-side lounges and bars of Rio de Janeiro in the late 1950s, came the cultural phenomenon that is bossa nova. And from Brisbane's south side, comes Australia's most accomplished interpreters of this rich and beautiful music.
Co-founders Anje West (vocals and percussion), and Kym Ambrose (vibes), have led their band for 28 years, sharing not only their love of classic bossa novas, but their award-winning original music from three critically acclaimed albums celebrating their influences across Brazilian jazz and bossa nova.
The band’s sound and style are unique to Brazilian music in Australia, and for this concert they are joined by their guitarist Bruce Woodward and Helen Russell on double bass.
Featuring songs from their beautiful album Bossa Nova Sunset Club, and favourites from their back-catalogue, this intimate show is a perfect opportunity to experience the band’s joyful and heartfelt music-making.
Doors open 5.30pm Music 6.30 - 8.30pm. Wood fired pizzas, antipasto and full bar.

Are you in a group?
If booking separately please include surname of others in your party at check out. We can seat you together.
Is this an outdoor venue?
Village Pizza is a fully covered venue, partly outdoors, set in an attractive garden setting, and heated on cool evenings.
How does seating work?
Table seating, you may share a table with other members of our wonderful audience.
What are partial stage view tickets?
If offered, these are mainly upstairs seats with a partial view of the stage. They are still close to the performers and enjoy all the service and atmosphere of other seats.
Is this a family friendly event?
Yes, families are welcome, tickets for children under 14 are $10 ea. Babies in arms are free.
What is your refund policy?
No refunds, except when an event has been cancelled or rescheduled, in line with the Australian ticketing code of practice.
