In old stories and tales, plants are often agents of transformation, sources of great wisdom that help us bridge the realms of psyche and body, earth and Other World. In the wise woman way, all these aspects have to be considered, for the health of one is dependent on the health of all. Once, this approach was common with charms and prayer songs focussing healing intention and connection with the spirit of the plant. The environment of the medicine was also considered of vital importance, as well as the timing of the harvesting of the plant.

Discover the role and hidden secrets of some locally growing herbs in tales and folklore and their link to the Wise Old Woman of the land. Explore their range of actions on body, heart and mind plus their more subtle properties. Sing your presence and intention to a plant and invite its song and medicine to flow through you and create your own plant prayers. Journey to the mythic realms of the Other world, to listen with the plant spirit and its message for us in these times.

With a focus on plants that open and soothe the heart, as well as balance shock, for humans, animals and places.
