    Botanica Gin & Spirits Journey comes to Sydney / Gamaragal.

    Enter Sydney's iconic Coal Loader Tunnel One for a sensory experience like no other! Botanica will take you on an immersive journey to discover spirits, botanicals and food including gins, vodkas, rums, whiskeys & liqueurs from over 20 award-winning Australian craft distilleries.

        Travel Instructions

        Tunnel One is located at The Coal Loader – 2 Balls Head Drive, Waverton 2060 (on the right-hand side before Balls Head Reserve).

        Parking

        Attending patrons for the event can utilise the existing parking spaces along Balls Head Drive however, parking options are limited and Botanica highly recommends utilising  public transport, carpooling, and other alternative transport options.

        Bus Routes

        The closest Bus Stop to The Coal Loader is Waverton Bus Stop on Bay Road opposite Ross Street, which is an approximately 10-minute walk from the event site.

        -    Bus Route 265 Lane Cove to North Sydney via Greenwich – Bay Rd opp Ross St

        -    Bus Route 664W North Sydney Demonstration School to Milsons Point

        Train Services

        Waverton Station is approximately a 12-minute walk from The Coal Loader.

        The following Routes travel to Waverton Station:

        -    T1 Berowra to City via Gordon

        -    T1 City to Berowra via Gordon

        -    T9 Northshore to Hornsby via City

        -    T9 Hornsby to Northshore via City

        -    CCN Newcastle to Central via Strathfield or Gordon

        -    CNN Central to Newcastle via Strathfield or Gordon

        Taxi / Rideshare

        Taxi and rideshare services for patrons attending Botanica will have a designated drop off point at the Coal Loader located on Balls Head Drive. Further information will be provided to ticket holders closer to the event.

        Entry Instructions

        Patrons will enter the Coal Loader precinct at street level, via the main entrance on Balls Head Drive. Signage will direct patrons to the stairs or the elevator to gain access to the Botanica Gin & Spirits Journey site- Tunnel One.

        IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION

        Due to the historical nature of the site, the tunnels are uneven and have undulating ground surfaces.

        Take caution when walking through the event space, and please be mindful that there are some uneven walking surfaces and possible wet conditions.

        The tunnels will be adequately lit to ensure any hazards are visible but we encourage you to wear flat, enclosed (if possible), and comfortable shoes during the event. 

        Clearly marked signage will draw attention to any particularly risky areas and remind you to use caution and slow down while walking through the event space.
